Harmony Township Building Renovation Project Update
Harmony Township Municipal Administration Offices and Sewer Department have been temporarily relocated due to an ongoing renovation and facelift project at the Municipal Building. Temporary operations are being conducted at the Harmony Township Fire Station, located in the rear of the building at 2400 Beaver Road, Ambridge, PA 15003. Office hours remain Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Sewer bill payments may still be dropped off in the sewer payment depository box located at the Township Building. The renovation project is expected to last approximately six months.
Harmony Township is a very special place for America 250. Logs Town and Legion Ville are historic sites of the first Revolutionary War encampment visited by George Washington.
The day will open with dedication to honor the seventeen Revolutionary War soldiers interred at this site and to preserve the historical significance of Logs town and Legionville. Furthermore, this initiative seeks to raise public awareness regarding the importance of the National Monument and ensure the long-term preservation of our local history.
Key features of the celebration will include Revolutionary War soldiers’ encampments, lectures and demonstrations including musket and cannon drills. Join in on daily camp life of a 18th Century trader and native American Indian: cooking, chores and crafts. Experience educational discussions on Log’s Town’s Native American Heritage and Diplomacy before the French and Indian War. Learn how Legion Ville marked the beginning of formal U. S. military training after the Revolution. Meet George Washington and General “Mad” Anthony Wayne! This is a family event filled with Food, History and Fun you won’t want to miss!
