Summer Message from the Board of Commissioners
As we welcome the summer season, the Harmony Township Board of Commissioners would like to thank our residents, businesses, volunteers, public safety personnel, and community partners for their continued dedication to making Harmony Township a vibrant and welcoming community.
Summer is one of the busiest and most enjoyable times of the year in Harmony Township. Our parks, neighborhoods, and community spaces come alive with families, outdoor activities, community events, and opportunities to connect with neighbors. We encourage everyone to enjoy our local parks, practice safe outdoor recreation, and help keep our community clean and beautiful by properly disposing of litter and participating in our recycling programs.
This summer also marks an exciting milestone as we continue celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary and recognizing Harmony Township’s unique role in our nation’s history through Logs Town and Legion Ville. We invite residents and visitors alike to participate in our educational programs, community events, and historical initiatives that honor the people and places that helped shape America.
The Township remains committed to investing in infrastructure improvements, roadway maintenance, public safety, sewer system enhancements, and municipal facility renovations to provide quality services for our residents now and for generations to come. We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation as these important projects continue throughout the community.

All meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend, share their ideas, and stay informed about Township projects, services, and future initiatives.

Harmony Township Summer Safety Tips
Spring Clean-Up & Gardening Season in Harmony Township
As warmer weather arrives, Harmony Township encourages residents to take advantage of the spring season to refresh their properties, begin outdoor projects, and help keep our community clean and beautiful.
Township Spring Clean-Up Services
Harmony Township Public Works provides leaves, trees, grass, shrub clippings, debris items and clean-up collection on the first Monday of each month for residents who need assistance disposing of yard waste-related items. Items should be bagged in a paper recycling bag or neatly stacked at curbside.
Residents are encouraged to contact the Public Works Department in advance to be placed on the monthly pick-up list. Early scheduling helps crews plan routes efficiently and provide timely service throughout the Township.

Spring Gardening & Yard Care Tips
Spring is also the perfect time to improve your lawn and landscape. A few simple seasonal maintenance steps can make a big difference throughout the year:
Helpful Spring Gardening Tips
- Clean flower beds and remove leaves and debris left from winter
- Trim dead branches and damaged shrubs
- Apply fresh mulch to help retain moisture and reduce weeds
- Aerate and seed lawns for healthier grass growth
- Plant native flowers and pollinator-friendly plants
- Check outdoor drainage areas and clear clogged gutters or drains
- Start a compost pile using leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste
Recycling & Responsible Disposal
Residents are reminded to recycle cardboard, paper, and plastics whenever possible. Harmony Township’s Recycling Drop-Off Site is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the rear lot of the Harmony Township Volunteer Fire Department located at 2400 Beaver Road.
Working together helps maintain clean neighborhoods, protects the environment, and keeps Harmony Township looking its best throughout the spring and summer seasons.
