Spring Clean-Up & Gardening Season in Harmony Township

As warmer weather arrives, Harmony Township encourages residents to take advantage of the spring season to refresh their properties, begin outdoor projects, and help keep our community clean and beautiful.

Township Spring Clean-Up Services

Harmony Township Public Works provides leaves, trees, grass, shrub clippings, debris items and clean-up collection on the first Monday of each month for residents who need assistance disposing of yard waste-related items. Items should be bagged in a paper recycling bag or neatly stacked at curbside. 

Residents are encouraged to contact the Public Works Department in advance to be placed on the monthly pick-up list. Early scheduling helps crews plan routes efficiently and provide timely service throughout the Township.

Spring is also the perfect time to improve your lawn and landscape. A few simple seasonal maintenance steps can make a big difference throughout the year:

  • Trim dead branches and damaged shrubs 
  • Apply fresh mulch to help retain moisture and reduce weeds 
  • Aerate and seed lawns for healthier grass growth

  • Check outdoor drainage areas and clear clogged gutters or drains 
  • Start a compost pile using leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste

Residents are reminded to recycle cardboard, paper, and plastics whenever possible. Harmony Township’s Recycling Drop-Off Site is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the rear lot of the Harmony Township Volunteer Fire Department located at 2400 Beaver Road.
