As we welcome warmer weather and longer days, Harmony Township is pleased to share important community updates, seasonal reminders, and exciting projects happening throughout the Township this spring and summer.

Spring Message from the Board of Commissioners

The Harmony Township Board of Commissioners would like to thank our residents, businesses, volunteers, public works and public safety personnel, and community partners for their continued support and commitment to our Township.

Spring brings renewed energy throughout our community as we begin seasonal projects, neighborhood improvements, road maintenance, park activities, and preparations for our upcoming America 250 Celebration. We encourage residents to take pride in their properties, participate in recycling and community clean-up efforts, and enjoy the many recreational opportunities Harmony Township has to offer.

The Township continues to invest in infrastructure improvements, public safety services, sewer system upgrades, and municipal building renovations to better serve our residents today and into the future. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during ongoing construction and improvement projects throughout the Township.

The Board of Commissioners would also like to remind residents of the updated monthly meeting schedule:

  • Commissioners’ Workshop Meeting — First Monday of each month
  • Regular Business Meeting — Second Monday of each month

All meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and stay informed about Township projects, services, and community initiatives.

💧 Municipal Authority Sewer System Improvements

The Harmony Township Municipal Authority continues investing in critical sewer infrastructure improvements to better serve residents and maintain reliable operations throughout the Township.

Beginning with the second quarter billing cycle of 2026, residential sewer rates will increase by $10 per customer. This adjustment supports ongoing operational costs, maintenance needs, and future infrastructure improvements. The Township has not implemented a sewer rate increase since 2014.

Harmony Township also continues moving forward with sanitary sewer repair and maintenance projects funded in part through the Pennsylvania Small Water & Sewer Grant Program. These projects are designed to improve system reliability, reduce infiltration and inflow issues, and address aging sewer infrastructure throughout the community.

The Township appreciates residents’ continued support as these important investments help protect public health and strengthen long-term utility services.

🚧 Township Paving & Infrastructure Improvements

Harmony Township continues investing in roadway and infrastructure improvements throughout the community.

This spring and summer, several paving and maintenance projects are planned to improve driving conditions, pedestrian safety, and neighborhood appearance.

Residents may experience temporary traffic delays or parking restrictions during construction activities. The Township appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation while improvements are completed.

Additional project updates will be posted on the Township website and social media pages.
